After almost 4 years without a tank, I finally have me a 55 tall tank that's drilled. Currently has a bioball sump with a urchin skimmer. Power compacts light the tank up nicely but I got plans on some LEDs real soon. I received about 50 lb of live rock & 50 lb of sand last night. Got my ro/di water filter hooked up last wknd & got tank filled a few days ago. My additives & test kits are in the mail & will be here in few days. I still need to get a few power heads, lookin at some wave makers. It's been smooth running so far, just gotta do the hard part now. Waiting for it to cycle.
It's been a while since I've updated. Got quite a bit done since last post on thread. Tank cycled about a month ago & I added a small colony of zoas. Shortly after I received my vortech mp10 esw.

I bought a neon polyp toad stool & this guy is so cool.

I ordered a reef breeders 24" photon with 90* optics. I'm very impressed with this light. It's so nice to be able to dim the lights & yea it runs cooler than my old pc's.

Since my hood started to have some rot on the inside. I decided to build a new hood to hold my new LEDs. Built this hood & cut a hole on top so I could mount the LEDs on top & completely out of tank.

I have gotten a few other zoas & a few ultra acans but don't have pix yet.

My sense of the past time is still a bit fuzzy. I just know its been more than 2 & less than 4 years. Lol I still had some visitation rights with our tanks after the big D. Yea I missed the tanks & the dog:)

Finally got a new 56g tall tank installed last week since my other tank started a small leak somewhere along the front bottom. I wasn't happy with the live rock I had so today I purchased another 50lbs from a local who was tearing his tank down. He had much better & larger rocks in order for me to do some scaping. I'm much happier with the looks now. Tank is still going through the cycle & I've got all my rock work done now. I ordered a vortech mp 10 esw so that will get some movement going soon. I will probably order another sometime soon. I also ordered a reef breeders 24" led photon with 90 optics Friday.[IMG]
