    The hole saws and bulkheads come with the kit, so I'm not exactly sure what size they are. I think the overflow one is 1 1/2in, and the returns 1 1/4in.

    On a side note, I did decide to buy myself a new tank (No, the wife was not terribly happy about it.) Apart from the aforementioned problems with the returns being too low, I also was not happy with my overflow placement, as I had originally intended to use a clamp-on MH for lighting.

    So I'm gonna re-drill it, put the returns up as high as I can get them without breaking the glass, and move the overflow box more right-of-center. Gonna have to wait a coupla weeks to get the new tank, so be patient ;).

    you made the right decision(the wife will cool down sooner or later) ;) , as said a few posts back you cant cheap out this far along. good luck and we all look forward to seeing round two.
