I need some serious help here. I purchased a ReefKeeper Elite V2 w/ Net from Bulk Reef Supply about 4 months ago. It has only been up and running on my tank for 2 months. I have been experiencing tons of problems with the system. My head unit freezes up every week. My whole system has completely shut down 5 times, without any of the defaults working. My SID card which allows?? you to hook the head unit/system up to your computer to update firmware, says that it doesnt support MY REEF. I cant even get my head unit unfrozen now because my SID fails to update the flash on the head unit. I am extremely frustrated and i dont want to waste any more time trying to figure out this flaky controller. I have asked questions on the Digital Aquatics forums, written multiple posts about my problems. I called DA and left a message, they called my back and told me that i need to write up/ than mail - a complete, detailed explanation of my system. I dont want to go to extreme lenghts just to get the same response, "wiring issue", (make sure your wiring is clean) or "your ato pump is surging"! I feel that if there system has so many issues, they should be resolved before selling any more.
So i am wondering if anyone else has experienced EXTREME ISSUES with their ReefKeeper and what DA has done about it? Ultimately i would like a full refund, but its not a perfect world:-/ I just dont think that a $500 dollar electronic should malfunction as much as mine does? I am an intelligent person and i have been trying to figure out my issues to the best of my ability, trust me. I am truly attached to my reef tank and dont want to lose my inhabitants because a $500 power strip wont function properly.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Sounds like a very significant issue with the device. I would certainly be very proactive with the company but in a diplomatic way. Documentation and doing it their way initially, usually at least gives you a solid base to refer to if you do not get the response you need. If you can show that you did everything they asked and still did not receive the desired results than you have the documentation to show for it. Images as well will assist in your endeavor. I would be very nervous using any device that delivered water or dosing to my system and had failed on more than one occasion.

I didn't know what that was so I just checked it out. I will tell you this; at $400-500 I would tell them I was shipping it back for a full refund! There is no debate. It isn't functioning as advertised.

wish i could help you, but i cant. i have another brand controller that i have had nothing but problems with. i had to go out after buying this and buy an ato and a ph monitor. 2 things the controller was supposed to do. my controller is an expensive light timer, thats about it! i have thought about going to an apex controller. but wonder if really controllers are the way? since when it malfunctions it shuts your whole system down. its why im dragging my feet on the new controller. after reading whats going on with you. im thinking maybe leave well enough alone. i understand your frustration and hope you find an answer.
