Reefkeeper lite, alc, ai sol

I bought a reefkeeper lite and alc to control my ai sol light. I finally got the controller to control the light turning the whites and blues up or down but I can't get the timer to work. I have it set to come on at 9 am and run for 8 hours and then turn off. They don't turn off at all. I have them plugged into wall rather than the reefkeeper. I was told that the controller can turn the lights off with just the data cable is this true?

 

You'll probably get more helpful answers from the Digital Aquatics help forum. Very few here have ReefKeeper's, and even less have AI Sol's. I wonder if any have both...

 

I figured this forum would have more traffic and faster answers, I will try over there though. I leave tomorrow morning for 2 weeks and would like to have my lighting schedule down before I leave

 

To the best of my knowledge you need to have all devices plugged into a power bar controlled by the controller.
