    ok heres article about myths, its reefkeeping magazine. im posting this because i see a couple of these frequently on here, and i believe some of them myself, still dont know if i completely agree with everything in it but im trusting that people publishing a good reefing magazine know more then me.;Dlol
    so check it out new and veterans alike.

    Very cool, I actually agree with most of what he said. I think he may have missed the point of doing water changes during the cycle. Instead of focusing on the bacteria, I reasoned that doing a water change during the cycle would dilute the ammonia or nitrite present, which would reduce the number of bacteria that nitrify it. If the bioload is maintained at the same level, more ammonia or nitrite will be produced than can be absorbed, thus causing more bacteria to grow to consume it. Thus prolonging the cycle.

    Oh man that was good, I didnt know people thought that moon lights are supposed to make your coral spawn. Thanks Sostoudt I needed a good laugh today. Sorry to anyone who thought this.

    I agree with the whole article. However, I always start tanks with bagged LS. That way I don't have to deal with the snowstorm but that's just my preference.
