    Hello,

I have been building a custom system for some time now and i am finally close to start up. The last part before fresh water leak test is building my close loop. I will be using four Reeflo Blow Hole 2700 3 speed pumps with two pumps being plumbed into one manifold under each half of my 8' long 300 gallon tank.
King Fish posted a thread awhile back where 3reef members could test these pumps with a break on cost. Also you get the option of sending them back after 3 months if not happy......don't see that happening with the quality pumps Reeflo builds and what great customer service they are known for.

    OK moving on:)

Now i am painting my plumbing so this first part deals with that and how i do it. I use only Krylon Fusion and seal parts that go in the water with Krylon Fusion UV sealer....remember i am telling you how i do it:)

I wash the fittings first in hot soapy water then let dry.

I install several lite coats until fully covered.

Here is the fittings needed for one manifold not shown is a double union 1/2 ball check valve. They are on back order so i will do as much as i can until they are here.

This is how the pumps will be plumbed using 2" double union ball valves. The pump inlet has a 2" to 1 1/2" slip that will be feed from it own 2" overflow reduced to 1 1/2".

I will post more after this weekend:)

I am still waiting on a custom part so i can install my close loop system using BH2700 pumps.
Here is the standard 1 1/4" stainless steel union that comes with pump for both input and output.

I am using 2" double union ball valve shown side by side with 1 1/4" fitting.

Here is a couple of shots showing valves and manifold pieces.

Here is some pics of custom made flow accelarators for my eight CLOSE LOOP outlets. (the idea for these came from a member on another site i just added my own design/build)

These first two are installed top back corners of 300 gallon DT.

This design is for other six outlets.......should have some nice flow options:)

I recieved my backordered parts so i can now put together my close loop manifold's. I will be putting them together this weekend after a two month wait so i am ready:)
What started as wanting to build my own custom outlets keeped me busy while waiting. I finished designing and building several different sizes so i think i am covered, i have 12 outlet's in my DT.

Here is some of my MO FLOWS:)

    Awesome as usual 414!

You'll have to update us later on how those flow accelarators work out for you.

I'm really, really looking forward to seeing your system eventually!
Video of those monster custom reactors might be mandatory too!

I'd say keep up the great work but we know you will. ;D

Thank you Todd yes those are for air injection just hook up to a timer and air pump. Those are prototypes i have move the air inlet to a better location to use with air injection.
    Features:
    accelerated flow
    360 degree barrel movement
    Air injection
    Custom colors

Just couldn't go with lockline on a custom build so i made these:) I get side tracked to easy......lol
