I've only heard good things about that pump. Either the flow leaving is being restricted or you got a fluke pump. What are your pipe sizes in your closed loop?

The hybrid pumps are new, but ReefBruh has a good point. I have a regular Dart that is warm to the touch.

Wait, what size is the 4-way?

they get very hot. I've run the Hammerheads in the past and then get very hot but I'm not sure if that's too hot.

They have always been very quick to reply to my e-mail questions

I read your other post about the pipe sizes. I've got a feeling that you are still starving the pump at the inlet. Did you change ALL of the inlet pipe to 2"? Restricting it after the outlet should be no problem.

pump got 2"in and 1.5"out right?
i got 2" bulkhead with 2" pvc(around 28inches) for intlet so i dont think i'm starving pump then i got 4-way(1.5inch in from reeflo) and out 4X1" spa-flex returns.

Hmmmm. I'm no expert buy why didn't you maintain the 1.5 inches out? That might and that's a worse case scenario might be the problem.
