This goes with any pump. You leave all that weight on the pump housing and your going to have trouble. Reeflo pumps are great, I wouldn't have another one running my tank. Super quiet and multi voltage.

I haven't had any problems with them and would recommended them to anyone that is looking for a real pump.

I love my Dart. I would not use any other pump to run a closed loop system. When I upgrade to a larger tank, I will only use Reeflo pumps as well. I am considering buying a Snapper to put on a manifold to run my skimmer and reactors. If it's possible to put my skimmer on a manifold and have the sump return / skimmer on the same manifold, that's what I'll do.

I've got to say, the Reeflo Dart is super quiet for the volume of water it pushes.
If I ever replace the Blueline 100HD (same as PanWorld 250) pump, I will have to look into a pressure rated Reeflo pump.

I just ordered a Reeflo Dart
What size/which bulkhead do you guys use?
I can't find them at my hardware store so I'm going to have to order a bulkhead online.
Currently I have 1" pipes in and out for my PanWorld. Current bulkhead is big but reduced to 1". Gonna have to take it out to get a good look at it.
The pump should be here in a couple few days so I would like to get the manifold going too.

I use a 2" bulkhead for the intake of my pump.

You guys checking the shaft alignments ? Thats the main cause of premature seal failure on a pump and after you change the seals you have to use a shaft alignment tool to make sure , then you have to know how to shim the housing properly. Bogie yous I checked before you got it . The O.M will not be a problem for you as its setting on top of the out put housing and level and plumb so there is no torquing on the input of the wet end . If any of you guys are not aligning two shafts ? then you best take the pumps to a elect motor shop and get that done , I have a tool as my former business required me to align motors of pumps and blowers to opposing shafts the tools run about 400.00 and up for a good set . Harmonics will kill them

    Ok
Thanks for the info. I ordered one of these:
Double Threaded Bulkhead (Schedule 80, Heavy Duty)
I know there's cheaper but someone said their schedule 40 cracked while trying to tighten it.
I think I'm going to have to drill a bigger hole.

You guys got any pics of your plumbing setup?
I'm going to put unions with valve prior to pump like Ottys'. Then probably make a manifold for carbon, phos, skimmer. Maybe an extra for future add ons like UV.
To build it with the weight off of the pump has me wandering a bit. Maybe I could put something under it to relieve weight off the pump.
