Just installed a new Snapper Reeflo pump and I just cannot seem to get the fittings to seal. I used Teflon pipe tape and after 3 tries I was able to get the outlet not to leak. So I decided to look at the manual and it says to use Teflon pipe dope not tape. Anyone use this on their plumbing?

Yep dope is what your supposed to use, the tape can crack the housing.

Thanks! I pulled the pump out and use the dope and all is good. Next time the dope should read the manual first!! ;)
