LOL Painting it black looks better than looking thru the tank at the cut out back of the entertainment center but it really makes getting close ups with a point and click nearly impossible.

Less than 150gph. The overflow is DIY. The ponies have absolutely no problem cruising the entire tank and often the two biggest males will hang out on the money plant right in front of the return and eat pods.

Thank you! I've been planning to keep seahorses since I put the tote fuge in originally only it was the macros that were gonna be moved to a pony tank. I'm glad I thought of this instead I really like it. I've been seeding the chaeto for months and there's a huge pop. of adult amiphipods in there that survived the transfer and I was real happy to see a good hatch on the glass last night. So were the ponies!

    Seahorse Rescue!!

This morning I found one of my male seahorses stuck INSIDE the skimmer tube I made for the DIY overflow. His body was inside anyway, his head wasn't big enough to fit thru the slot. I tried to get him gently slid out with a q-tip but everytime I'd try he'd grab the edge of the next slot over. I didn't want to stress and figuired my only option was to quickly clamp the tube in a vice, hold him out of the way with the q-tip and drill a hole big enough to get his head through. And it worked! He's back in the fuge and after shaking off his ordeal returned to business as usual. I chucked the tube and built a protective box for the overflow out of eggcrate and nylon screen.
