Well here is 25#s of big rock and 5#s o rubble which I personally requested the sizing of which is nice! Marco rock also allows ya to pick sizes! Both rock is similar in color and form, but Marco seems a little lighter and less dense than reef rock! So with Marco ya get more space filled with less weight but with reefrocks it's more dense and feels more stable! Sorry I didn't take a pic of my Marco rock before I put it in the tank!

Both are priced similar, I got this reefrocks 30# for $60 shipped! Here's where I think reefrocks wins, with a 30# rock purchase you can get 40#s of RINSED sand for $15 shipped. Marco sand was and is a nightmare, way too much rinsing needed and 2 months in still flies everywhere when disturbed(damn you chromis and your nest building;))

thx for the response steve. I wish I could provide that pic, but i for some reason didn't shoot a pic of the marco rocks, although you can see the pieces added in my build thread. But in a few days to weeks when I transfer my 55 to the new 90g I'll have both in the tank to compare. They are remarkably similar IMO as for the rocks, but the sand really gives the win to reef rocks. Pre rinsed saves ya ton of RODI water

    Thank you Cosmo

I will check out the build thread and upgrade as it develops

totally agree with you that pre rinsed sand is a deal clincher ( to many back aches from bending over buckets rinsing and stirring over the years)

    Thx Steve, mucho gracias, lol

I hate sounding like a woosie, but I used prob 30g RODI water and an easy 2 hours rinsing Marco rocks sand and it is still a nightmare, blows everywhere;(
