so your looking for 6 or 8 bulb t5 fixture that will be 60" wide.. whats your budget?

I know thats going to be alot of dough.. might just want to get a 6 bulb 48" and build a custom hood.. if fixture is centered, you'll only have 6" on each side that will be low light..

this is true, BIG tank = BIG buck$.

135g tank by no means is a average size tank to me. plus the cost of filling it with corals/fish & 150+lbs live rock.. geezzz mo money!

I've been looking into the 6 bulb retrofits now, just because they seem like the best option now that i'm not getting the other setup. i just finished my stand today and would like to be done with the wood work side of things but oh well. having 48 inch bulbs would be more convenient as far as replacements and i actually do like making my own stuff so thats the new plan.

live rock, not a problem. getting 135 of saltwater to my house, i've looked more forward to other things. fish and corals, going sloooooow. well slower than i'd like to. but i know once i get everything up and going for a little while then it's just down to water changes, cleaning the glass and feeding the fish. oh, and picking up everything my hermits knock over.. which is everything in the tank.

as far as lights, not in a huge hurry, i have my36 inch 196w pc setup and another 104 watt 48 inch setup so i'm gonna just run em both til i get hood with it.

any advice on retrofits? i've been looking around at LOTS of them, planning on 6x54 48 inch
