    I would redo your intake and return. I'm guessing you have the intake tube vertical and it extends down the back wall? Turn it sideways and put it as high as you can, right below the water line. Do the same with the return. That way if it happens again, it will only drain just a little bit of water before it starts to suck air and quit.

    Go to a hardware store and purchase metal plumbing hose clamps and nylon tape. Those two added to the plumbing will secure any hose. My buddies eheims had the same problem. Proper hose clamps will work. Nylon tape should help with the seal and any slipping. All can be purchased for under 3 dollars.

    Wow, sorry to here of this. Just yesterday my tank shattered while drilling it; I can't even imagine having 20 gallons of water spill in my house. :eek:

    Luckily you have people around that were able to catch what had happened and helped you out.

    About two weeks ago my 125 during leak testing lol. Woke up with at least half in carpet leaked out. Trust me was not happy did at least five or six hours of cleaning non stop.

    I have both the xp2 and xp3 for my fw tanks and they came with the hose clamps, did you have them on yours?

    yes the hose clamps were in use on my hoses. idk how or why it came off. I will have to replace the ceiling though. I have duct tape on the hoses for now.
