I am aware that the elite has a nicer display and can control more ports but is there anything that the elite can control that the lite cant? I saw the comparision chart on the the web page so as far as a salinity monitor can it just be added to the elite unit or is there a serperate module to buy? I have a 65g mixed reef I really just need a unit that can serve as a ato, control heater temp, lights, ph, dosers, skimmer, and powerheads. I just dont want to buy the lite and turn around in six month and buy the elite. If there is alot more options for the elite please let me know. I have never used a controller so I am not quite sure how to read all the comparisions.

    Thanks,

    Wesley

All monitoring, aside from temp, must go through the SL1 or SL2 modules. The Elite allows many more modules to be added, a feature you might not fully value right now, but will need down the road. Buy the Elite!

I came to about the same conclusion. The RKE can also control multiple systems, which is a problem I hope to have someday. :)
