Hi all. Okay I went home and checked tank on lunch break and think I might have an aptasia. How do I know if that is what it is? This seemed to just pop out overnight. It is a light brownish color with tentacles. Where it is situated is hard to get a pic as it is growing in the space between two rocks. If it is aptasia should I do anything about it at this point as the tank is still cycling?

Let me know LOL, I shall turn into the "aptasia" death squad, I'll show how to rif your self of those nasties !.

Best off getting rid of them now and when you see them, they reproduce quite rapidly even in the crappiest of water conditions.

If allowed to stay, they will only reproduce and they sting the "good corals" that you wish to keep.

hows that that skimmer doing by the way ?

Hi, Wildreef. Yes, skimmer is still working great. lol

Can an aptasia just appear overnight? lol

This thing about scared me when I was looking at the tank. It must be growing at fast pace. lol

What method do you use to get rid of them? Do I need to inject it with something?

Yea stopped by reezy's place and the tank appears to be coming along quite nicely , no more "noticeible" LHA amd the water appears to be very clean, that little AQUA"C Remora
really does well, I was impressed.

Well have been looking for lighting systems for reezy , will most likely go with T-5 set up but at this time im glad she don't have the system , her and kids would be pressed to turn them on at this time and theres just no need to right now.

I'm gonna pull a few hand-full of sand from my tank and some scrape some extra coralline's and put them in that tank for her this week i think.
