so the reflecters in the canopy dont looks like there bright and shiny and stuff and i really dont see how they can reflect that great, i have read stuff about aluminum (SP?) lets just go wiht Al like in chem. lol.

anyways........Al foil that go over the reflecters,,,,,,,would it work....it seems like it would be ALOT brighter if it did that.

iknow from growing plants, that al foil is not good reflecters due to how easily it krinkles, these krinkles cause concentrated light called hot spots.

what kinda lights do you have that you think al foil will be better reflecters

How about the LumenMax Elites? The aluminum will also react to the salt over time... I forgot what it was called but it is not good.

Thats why they make "Nevr Dull". The best Aluminum polish Ive found. It is toxic to your tank, so dont polish your reflectors on the tank. wash your hands before putting them back on your tank.

    My Nevr Dull ;D

i agree on the polish cheap fix if only temp. i believe that the al would oxidize, Corrosion happens in the presence of other chemicals (arsenic) thats why they don't or shouldn't be used near pressure treated wood (decks)
