refractometer question

    I keep my tank at 80, where will 1.027 be on this chart?

    When a refractometer is calibrated, it's done at a given temperature. This one is labeled at 20C, so you either need to recalibrate it with calibration fluid to read properly at 80 degrees, or find the conversion equation (which I don't have). As you can see, you'd be off by over .002 if you don't recalibrate or convert.

    a few minutes in the fridge with a sample of the water to cool it down to 70 degrees
    might work?
    not an ideal solution I appreciate, but workable I imagine
