Refu pod feeding?

    Do you guys feed anything to your pods? Or do I let them go with out any type of food?

    put a s**t load of macro algae (mostly cheato) in there buy live pods and umm thats it ... wait they also love LR and live sand!

    Yup I have three already, so what your saying nature takes it's place now with out me having to do anything....

    I toss about 5 little crab pellets in there. They love 'em. Some of the bigger ones will carry off an entire pellet.

    Ok so what about tranferening pods to my DT? Or do they also go on there own with my return pump?

    On newer systems that don't have a large population of microalgaes, various bacterial populations, etc you are definitely going to want to feed phytoplankton for the copepods.

    As far as pods making it to the display tank, this is common. Depending on species, the babies have to molt numerous times before they grow the legs that allow them to hold onto surfaces. These guys end up in the display tank because of this.
