    Refugium can Increase the water volume, biological filtration, remove excess nutrients and control your phosphates and nitrates through the use of macro algae.

    I had a refugium for 6 months, it created a lot of problems for me like cyanobacteria and detrtius so i removed it. My tanks has been much better ever since.
