I just swaped tanks about a month ago and my refugium has chaeto and gracillar algae.I am running a 20 w spiral bulb clamp light and a coral life 12w t5 on the fuge opposite of my display lights. I now have a thick layer of brown and red algae on the sand bed. I cleaned it and treated the tank with red slim remover. It clears up and comes back pretty fast. It only happens in the refugium. The display tank looks great and the water par. are good. What should I do? Do I need to clean it out or leave it?

If its not in your display, leave it be. removing it there may tempt it to move to the display.
