Please take a look at my design for a 29G sump. All measurements of the dividers are not permanent. I am also unsure of the height of the overflow dividers. If my calculations are correct for every inch of overflow from my display tank I will need 3" in my sump.

I also have a couple questions.

    1. I plan on using a very small amount of super glue to hold the dividers in place before I seal them. Is super glue safe to use?

    2. How much of a deep sand bed is really needed?

    3. Do I need to seal both sides of the dividers?

    4. How many watts would I need to get good algae growth in the regugium?

Thanks in advance for your replies! ;D

i think it would work, but i dont undertsand the fuge in the middle of the sump but ive seen a lot of people doing it......i thought you needed the "dirtiest" water from your tank goin into the fuge.....but i think it looks good......as for the baffles id seal both sides although im sure you dont HAVE to but i would.....sand bed id say 2-3 inch in tank 3-4in in fuge.....but im no pro....and i believe any light is good for a fuge

several issues i have with your design - check out this thread
It will show you a slightly different configuration that has been proven very effective, also there is a few drawings with dimentions and such oon them.

I just started to design my sump/fuge for my "new to me" 40g breeder. and I am putting a "T" in my drain so I can have water draining into the intake and fuge, and my return will be in the middle
