    I see some poeple leave there refuge light on 24/7 , are you supposed to? I plan on leaving my mt on 9 hours a day then turn on refuge light after the mt light is off for 9 hours. Is the correct or can anyone that has had a good out come with one or the other let me know what times they are using?

    Depends on the type of macro you are growing.

    I reccommend chaeto on a 18 on / 6 off opposite the main tank lights. This give the algae a chance to respirate and will give you better overall growth

    If you are going to run caulerpa, the run it 24/7. This helps to keep the caulerpa from going sexual and releasing toxins into the tank. Chaeto doesn't have this risk.
