refugium lighting help

    i have an extra nove extreme 24" 2/24 watt HO t5s
    would this be ok to use for the refugium?

    what kelvin are the bulbs rated at?

    i have 1 10,000k bulb and a 460nm atinic

    thats what i meant, i think my fuge light is around 6500k, it works well for me, but i will let someone else give their opinion.

    oh ok
    but my refugium is going to be small because i dont have enough room.
    the refugium is going to be a small 5 to 7 gallon tank

    i just wanted to see if it would be ok to have macro algae growing and stuff

    I would imagine it would do just fine, if it doesnt just pickup a utility light at home depot and a bulb and that would work fine.

    FWIW, that's the same fixture that I have on my fuge. I'm using it because I got it cheap from another local reefer and it was the right size for my fuge. I've been told that even something as simple as an 60W incandescent bulb is adequate for a fuge.
