:confused:Well I was going to remove the bio-balls that came with my tank and do one of 2 thing's 1st: build a refugium in the chamber 2 for the bio-cube 29g, but wated to know what you guys though. Also every one keep's telling me that the bio-balls need to go anyway's...ther not fo SW and do more bad then good, and live rock should take it's place...is this true? The 2nd: would be the CPR SR3 protein skimmer for the biocube 29 aquarium. So I need help on which would one would benfit me. If you can ONLY PICK ONE which 1 would it be?

BOTH. I would get rid of the bio-balls. I have replaced mine with LR. I also run a skimmer in my CPR sump. If I had no choice I'd go with skimmer.

Definitely go with the skimmer and get rid of the bioballs for cleaning purposes as well as water parameter issues!

People will tell you a lot of things .. is the tank having any problems ? And by removing the B/B and replacing them with rock you will be giving up a lot of surface area and the Bio Ball cause far more turbulence with the water passing over and through them and that allows for better gas exchange also. and in a small tank that is a plus .. I would say leave them in there.. I have never seen any negative issue from their usage..
And I'd get the skimmer first.. then a small little refugium about 2 gallons in size for that tank..

If its not broken why fix it ?
