Refugium or skimmer?

    I understand they have nothing to do with each other but in the back of my cadlight, there are 3 sections. Section 1 is the filter pads and bio-balls, section 2 is the refugium at the moment, and section 3 is the return pump. The second section could either be a skimmer or the refugium... which one do you suggest? If i got a skimmer instead i would get this one. Ive heard great things about it.

    ok well i just measured the back of the tank and it is about 2 5/6 inches thick. The skimmer is 3". looks like its either a refugium or i get a HOB skimmer. dang!!! i was really looking forward to that skimmer
