    Hello guys!

I haven't been on for awhile due to working overtime, but now that I was laid off, I would like to use this time to do a few projects on my aquarium. Needless to say, I'll be spending quite a bit time on here. :cheesy:

I recently upgraded to an 80g saltwater tank. I would like to drill a few holes in my tank's glass. (I already checked and it is not tempered.) My tank stands in the basement next to a wall. On the other side of the wall, I have a laundry room and therefore, I would like to make a sump in the other room (meaning I will drill through wall, and this setup will be located in a closet, so out of sight). That being said, I would like to first do all the prep work, and then get all the pumps and such.

So... I am attaching a layout for my plan. Considering that I am pretty new to this, any advice would be welcomed. To begin with, I have several questions:

    1. For closed loop, what kind of pump do I need?
    2. How far away from the edge should I drill my holes?
    3. I looked up a few places online to buy my drill bits... Have any of you tried this site? Glass-Holes.com dope aquarium stuff (They are about $13 each)
    4. What is the best place to buy the pumps? Which type / brand name do you recommend? Again... I am trying to find something good, but not spend too much money.

Any advice would be welcomed. Thank you and I hope to get some responses to this post![IMG]
