I don't know if it is but I wouldn't chance it. Besides any PVC fittings will fit snugly enough you shouldn't need to seal them. Mine aren't....

I use it all the time. pvc cement is safe for the tank. just let it dry/cure before pumping water through it.

    It's ok

I always seal everything. I use the primer and cement. I have never had any problems. I rinsed the tubing before final use. Get rid of the nasty smell.

If you used PVC which is screwed together you MUST use Teflon tape. I did not use it where my 1" tubing screws to my overflow. Drip Drip Drip. I loaded it up with Teflon. Now Perfect!

No need to rinse anything as for safely its 100% safe once you allow it to skim over about 2 hrs depending on humidity and temp of the work area but on average after 2 hrs I cut the water on. If its a emergency repair for plumbing water pressure use the Rain and shine thats sets up in min.s for pressure pipes. But you have to use the primer on all PVC to start the welding reaction Its not glue but more of a liquid welding bead. The pipe is not glued its fused and the primer starts the first stages of the reaction.

Thats why Local plumbing Cods makes us use Purple primer so they can see the joints where primed at a glance No primer no inspection...

As an electrician, I've used a lot of PVC for underground applications and a few have just confirmed my suspicions. PVC glue smells like the devil when applying; but it seems to be perfectly inert in both appearance and in the utter lack of any scent once it's dried. I think I'd give it at least 24 hours first before introduction.

Just my 2 cents. And think, if a thousand people gave you their 2 cents, you'd be $20 richer. :tongue4:
