refugium questions

    ok i made a refugium and im using my protien skimmer as a pump to drain into refugium what can i use to pump it back out

    So you are not using an overflow to drain into the refugium?

    I ask to rule out flooding.

    Pesonally I would have the skimmer after the refugium as more dirty water going into the refugium makes more sense to me.

    get an overflow on main tank and run to your refugium, then have your skimmer at the end of refugium or is a sump hooked up at the end of refugium, let your macros grow off dirty water (as Matt, the website fixing beast, stated) then have your return go back to tank

    yah im doing the overflow box method even thoe i was going to try something diffrent he said my madness would work but its beter for the water in the refugium to be very slow other wise ot would have worked
    man my the trip today to the fish store hurt my wallet hah i decided to buy a uv steralizer
