    how would u use both? i have a 10g sump/fuge. put them in my cannister?

    I would not put just any bio-pellet in a canister filter, because you are creating a substrate of bacteria that will be returning straight back into your water column. And could cause a bacterial imbalance in the tank, and would more than likely cause a nuisance algae bloom, or lots of cyano. I would look into a getting a reactor and running the return from the reactor right into your skimmer section of your sump.
