no, no air bubble. Just checked to make sure. I don't have the equipment to make it T off and the way i have everything set-up it'd be physically impossible/difficult. Ill try to elevate the hose but it's pretty difficult considering it's over sized in length.

another problem, the valve from the overflow aparently leaks a ton. You have to tighten it on the inside and my hand is too big to fit in to get it tighter. Good job Eschopps.....

You need a single overflow unit. You can't use 2, for this very reason.

so i couldn't use it like Overflow->Refugium->Wet/dry->Pump? Or should i unhook the wet/dry altogether?

You might be able to have an overflow from DT go to the fuge, then an overflow from the fuge go to the wet/dry, and then a return pump back up to the DT.....but then you're talking about having a discrepancy between the ideal flow rate for the fuge and wet/dry.

I would just redo the plumbing and T off of one overflow, splitting the flow to the fuge and wet/dry, with a ball valve on the pipe after the split to each. That would save headaches down the road, and let your system work as efficiently as possible.

That's why I asked. There's your answer. You can not integrate two pumps and two overflow systems without there being some variance in the levels. It's more likely to manifest itself in one of the two, just as it is in your case.

I once had a wet dry and a fuge and ran them each independently as you do. I learned through experience it doesn't work.

More specifically, you should have one return pump. Two overflows on one pump would work, but you'd have to redo your plumbing and somehow integrate the sump and fuge.

Ah, right, good point. Didn't quite click until you mentioned it.

i think ill go ahead and go with just the refugium. It's not like the wet/dry is doing anything anyway.
