    Hi I have a 40 gl tank and I want to ues a hang on the back Refugium about 4 gl is this a good ider. Can any one help

    I would save your money and do an under tank refuge. Those HOT types are too small to really see any benefit other than a place for pods to grow IMHO.

    I have a 2gal. refugium on the back of my 75gal.tank. I have caulerpa, snails and peppermint shrimp in it right now. Mainly for growing caulerpa and copopods. But I think it's better to have one than not no matter how small.(more water volume and surface area)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
