    from my understanding getting to pumps in sync with each other is almost impossible and the cost of finding to pumps that would work in sync with each other would get costly. Not saying it can't be done, this is just from what I have read in the past about it.

    I totally agree with that statement too. You will never get the pumps in sync, and even if you did, as soon as one of them gets gunked up or something affects the flow, then you have a flood!

    OVERFLOW IS A MUST!!

    ooo ok i see, but wouldn't that just make the display a little ugly? i'm trying to think of a way to get nothing showing from the display. i wanted to place everything into the sump/fuge like heaters, skimmer, pumps, macro algae,... etc... is there a way to do this?

    You can drill your tank to have that kind of overflow... (google it) or use the hang on back type. If you go the drilling route, it's a bit more worry free and not as much of an eyesore.
