    TA,

Is that a question or a statement in your last sentence? Sorry for my confusion.

TA, I am trying to do the same thing as you. I have a 29 gal tank next to my 100 that I want to use as a fuge. I havn't work out the bugs but I plan on pumping from my sump to my fuge. I will have a second pump in the fuge, with baffles of course, to pump back to my display tank.

Craig, I know that it is best to either have you fuge siphon or overflow into your display. I was wondering if your pods make it through the pump alive.

If anyone saw any glitches in my fuge design let me know, I don't want any mishaps. As far as I see the only risk in a power failure is if one pump restarts and the other dosn't when the power comes back on.

    Another ?

The guy who built my stand sucks. He made it only 24 inch tall so I can't find a skimmer that will fit in my sump. I have a acrylic tank so I don't really see a way to hang on on it. Is there any reason I couldn't hang it on the back of my remote fuge? I think my ? is already answered by looking at craigs pic, just want to make sure.

I bought some plans off of eBay for a refuguim. What a ripoff. They were only 5.00 but all he told me was to put the tank higher than the main tank, and pump water up to it, and then drill a small hole in the side and let gravity send it out and down to the main tank!
    BOY what a brain surgen.

Craig. I guess you had to cut the side of your cabinet to get that large tank under there. I have the same cabinet. I have a 30gal acrylic tank that I am now thinking of using as a under the display sump/refugium...the only problem is that I cant get it inside the cabinet! I don't think it is too safe to cut it out like you did.. is it reinforced somehow?

Yes, I put an extra header in to brace it. Probably not needed, but better safe than sorry!

I was only talking about one pump up to the refugium, from the sump or the display, and a gravity feed via siphon back to the display.  Did I miss something?

Sounds like that might work. This whole thing is turning me into a insomniac!

my next question is how do I keep the water level higher in the area for the refugium, and lower in the area for my in sump skimmer?
