Regal Tang Help?

hi

i brought a regal tang today and have had him at home for about 5 hours i acclimated him propley. he hasnt been attacking any of my other fish he just swimms around the tank like he's insaine he will swim from the back and smash him self into the front glass and you can actually hear him doing it from a distence. he swims up and down the tank from top to bottom really fast i dont know if hes just stressed out from being brought home or something. hes lost a lot of colour

any ideas?

 

i dont see anyproblems on your end, hes probably just stressed. try to imagine a giant coming and catching you putting your in a plastic bag for two days, then you end up in a jail cell in a store with a bunch of other people youve never seen before. just when your getting used to your new jail cell a giant comes and puts you in a bag again and takes you in this big moving animal then takes you to a cave huge cave and a new cell with new people.

ok now pretend all that happened and you have the intelligence of a fish. pretty scary lol. just give it time as wild caught fish dont have a innate trust of people like captive breed ones.

he prob is just stressed out, but what im worryed about is when he smashes him self into the walls of the tank i hope he dont do him self any damage

 

i would turn the lights out to help him calm down
