I have a Betta in a heated 10 gallon aquarium. I want to know what is the best HOB filter for the tank to keep the water at its best.

well best and hob filters arent too words i hear often in the same sentence;D
i would assume the best possible filtration would be a canister, but i think thats cost prohibitive on a 10 gal betta tank.

a good filter will have mechanical, biological and chemical filtration. for hob's i would say its marinelands with the biowheel.
basically every hob filter has mechanical(floss filter) and chemical(activated carbon), some even have biological(usually a sponge behind the floss filter). but i think its marinelands biowheel stands out because of its wet dry application that lets the bacteria perform nitrifying activities more effectively.
