I live in a condo and the water is included. There was a note up about checking your place for leaks because the water bill went up 40%. Hmmm, I wonder who that could be.
I'm trying to find the treasurer so I can pay a little extra.
I might try filling one of the trash cans with the waste next time I make water. Just to see how much is there. I usually make a 25-30 gallon can at a time.

From what I've read the 75 GPD like mine has a higher rejection than the 100 or 150..
I think that's why it cost the same for the 100 GPD... it rejects more , purer water , but at the same time waste more... so airwaterice gives you a choice for the same price.

Haha, thanks.. I just don't want people pointing fingers when i use an extra 4-500 gallons a month. I figure I need about 100-120 gallons a month of product for evap and water changes... so that's why I was wondering the total rejection.

4 parts waste to 1 part purified is a standard. If you have an RO system that fills a pressurized storage tank, the ratio will be higher.

If you have a DI (only) system you don't have any "waste water."

But will a DI only system remove all the things a RO/DI will? Or will it just get used up really fast?

A DI only system should be fine for your reef - there are some reefers who use these systems. The trick is to use sufficient resin so that your don't have to change/recharge it too often. You may want to go with separate bed rather than a mixed bed resin, and think about recharging your own resins.

We have 10" x 2.5" and 20" x 2.5" refillable cartridges (and housings) for this purpose. This week sometime we'll be adding to our website 10" x 4.5" and 20" x 4.5" refillable cartridges and housings as well.

I've thought of the rain barrel thing many times but, I was wondering if the chemicals and stuff you pull out and use from the waste water will kill the grass? RO/DI does pull out chlorine and other nasty stuff.........

Sure - you can use your waste water to water the lawn, house plants, etc.
