I think that as long as you keep a close eye on your fish that they will be alright for 48 hours. It's not like it's a permanent solution or anything, and they will much happier in their home. ;D

If it was me, I would do it. Maybe someone else can chime in?

My cousin is going to take it. I guess I could empty and clean it and put the fish back in there. Something to think about.

Ok so I called my LFS today and the sump I was planning to get does not have a refugium. Does anyone know where I can get a 50-60 gallon sump? They said the could order one but the guy that makes them is backed up. The other option is to block off part of the sump with egg crate. Any feedback on that option? I am really hoping to start the swap in the next week or so..

Hey Everyone!! So the 120 to 200 swap has begun. It has been a long couple days but it did me well to see the tank sitting in place tonight. The swap began Saturday afternoon at about 4pm. I fist had to unhook everything which took forever. After that I drained as much water out of the 120 in to trash cans as I could. from there I took corals out and placed them in Bins and put my live rock in a separate trashcan with tank water. At that poin there was only about 5 inches of water left in the tank so I captured the fish and put them in a bin temporarily. Once I had all the sand and water out of the 120 I was able to move it to the garage (after cleaning it of course.) at that point I moved everything water corals and fish back in to the 120 where I hooked up an air stone, my Aqua controller, heater and an MP40 for circulation.

Once the tank inhabitants were safe I then was able to dismantle the stand that the 120 was on. As you can see from the pictures below under my stand was a continuation of our Hardwood floor from the living room. This has always worried me so I decided to tile the fish room this time around. So after being up until 4am last night. I got the fish room tiled, stand built wall reconstructed for cabinets above and below the tank for easy access to the front of the tank, and the tank in place.. Tomorrow, I plan to do the plumbing and hopefully get the fish back in asap!!

Here are some pictures of the progress so far. I am beat!!! More to come!!!;D

    Hey Everyone,

Another long day! Today I leveled the tank and did all the plumbing! I hope to have an aqua scape and water in the tank tomorrow morning. Once I confirm no leaks I will move all the fish back in. I'll post some more pictures tomorrow as well. So far so good though. I like how everything is turning out.

Hmmm! Those critters look a little bit big for your tank!!! You need to feed them 3 times a day with this special food called "Chicken Nuggets!" :p lol

Are you going to make any lighting or filtration changes?
