So I was looking for a few photos from my old tank and it brought tears to my eyes. I had my old 75 for 10 years and it went thru alot of changes. What follows are its progress in its most recent configuration as far as lighting and general setup. I ran this tank for hte last 4 years with no water changes or extra supplmentation. it was a very Bare bones system with very very little interference by me. it was on an ATO system that replinished with straight RO/DI. 90% of all the corals started off as frags from others. the exceptions to that are: Frogspawn, Stylopora, Mumps Leather. all others were Frags from someone else's tank. some were less than 1" when bought.

    Enjoy...

June 2000! First setup. I knew very little. Crushed coral substrate, under gravel filter, HOB canister. WOW! and I still have this rock in my 180!

Mumps Leather purchased when our first son was born. watch for it later.

Notice the frogspawn below the overflow.
added a closed loop and some corals. above teh frogspawn is a Pocilipora. in a month or two, it RTN'd really bad and I saved a single knob off it. look for it later. Also this picture marks a Milestone in the tank. this is its last move to our previous house. this was in April 2006. it is also the last time the water was changed. side note: the tank was moved a total of 4 times.

    Hre is that Poci.
Small Monti cap a few weeks after purchase. it was 2 pieces.
REference the Tiny xenia from above. crap grew wild and eventually covered teh entire back of the tank. be very careful with this stuff.
MIllipora. Look for this one later too.

    Lil momma shortly after purchase.

Pink birdsnest. watch for this later.

one of my fav fishes. I reserved visitation rights on this one. he actually got sucked into the overflow when I had the cap (part of selling reason) and I dug him out. almost killed the little bugger, but he pulled thru with one fin missing and made a 100% recovery. he is swimming in a 300 now.

Green birdsnest when bought it at a frag swap. it RTN'd really bad and we almost lost it. I let it hang in there and it came back to this in 5 days.

Sadly, that Cap had to go after those photos. it was almost 18" across and was HUGE, but all you could see was the underside of it. here is one of hte milli's form earlier in its place.
    Stylopora.
Same milli as above after it was hacked up for a frag swap.
    top of it.

this was a very very cool poci I had. white stalk with rust colored polyps.

Here is a photo from Feb 2010. I have more recent but cannot find them. the tank was dismantled and sold off in April 2010. in the upper middle right is a Beautiful Bali Tricolor.

Thanks for going on this little parade back thru the years. I have tears in my eyes thinking of this tank. It was a very sad day to have to part it out.

Now, if you see shots in my new thread and I speak of a coral I had, you can equate it.
