I also have the Hang on Aqua C and I empty the collection cup every few days and with a paper towel wipe the inside where the skimmate rises up and into the cup. Once a week or so I also unscrew that little plastic screw inside when you take out the collection cup and take that long nylon cleaning brush to clean inside of that hole. You can also every few months or so take off the entire Aqua C and soak it in Vinegar and water over night and rinse it out and the skimmer will work like new all over again.

I love my Remora- as said before, clean that collection cup on a regular basis- every few days- as gunk builds up in the tube of the collection cup it greatly reduces skimmer performance!!

 

Yes skimmer rocks! Very low maintanence. Mine started skimming after 3 hours
