Mine is still in the breakin period and it still puts a few micro bubble in the water but has only been running for a week now. I have been adjusting the collector cup to keep liquids out but still have not found the sweet spot. I looked sunday and I had a 1/2 gal of water in the overflow container so I moved the cup up some more. How high is the top of your cup to the black o-ring?? If I understand the directions right, the higher the collection cup the less liquid you will accumilate?

I believe my o-ring is close to the center of my collection cup right now. It does take some experimenting with, but it's a super easy adjustment. Even after using my skimmer for half a year I'm still amazed by how much crap it pulls out of the water...

I ordered mine with the drain for the overflow in case I forgot to empty the cup until I get a good routine going with this tank. The drain for the overflow is right in the middle of the cup so I have about an 1" area that I can't move the cup to. I may have to fabricate something to hold it up if it needs to be in that area. I was just trying to find out where other Remora owners keep theirs and if there is a trend.

Depending on what is going on I have mine at the top or the middle.
When I dose with chemi-clean I beleive - Helps with the phospates and flat worms my skimmer goes like crazy. The at other times if I have not dosed or done any recent water changes I have to bring it to the middle.
My positioning also has to do with the fact that I have it hooked up to a mag 5 instead of the MJ1200.
