My Remora seemed to be like blowing through a tiny mixing straw into a bucket. It didn't do much. After a recent algae bloom, I said enough and ordered up an Aqua Medic Turboflotor multi.

    Holy smokes.

Suddenly the $80 difference in price between the two seems really justified.

That Turboflotor has a 6" diameter tube! I just hooked it up. It's solid white with bubbles. 8)

It is the 'multi' - the hang on the back model. It is large and in charge. :)

I'm sure it will kick ass over your Remora. I've seen that skimmer at work at my LFS and its a beast. By the way Matt, I cleaned the injector spray nozzle on my Remora and trashed the maxijet pump for a Via Aqua 1300 pump (370gph) and it made a big difference and is skimming much better now.

Hey Matt it is official you now have the most over equipped 20g tank possibile but it is good that you managed to pull yourself away form the the keyboard long enough to do something tank related ;)
Good job on the new site!

After 3 days, this Turboflotor is really starting to kick out the skimmate. I am psyched. :) 8)

Post a pic of that bad boy with the needlewheel impeller in action! You've peaked my interest in getting my Turbfloater going. Problem is, unlike dano, my Seaclone is a skimming beast in it's own right!

Some pics after 4 days up. Ran it a little wet at first to get it going. Check out that fat tube! ;D
