how much did you pay and from where? i am getting one for sure. i printed a pic showed it to my fish, and taped it where its going to be placed. its a little pricey but damn, theres so much time and money in this hobby you cant go wrong.

Heh. Nice.
I got it from Doctors Fosters and Smith for $250 with pump (the multi version comes with the pump).
Be sure to measure, you need at least 7" between the tank and the wall and it's pretty tall.
Of course, the reason I can give good advice most of the time is because I am an idiot that learns through experience. I didn't measure and I had to drain my tank a bit and move it out from the wall. It only took me 5.5 hours to set it up.

Also, the one negative is the bubble reducer, it is a two piece unit that is very large. It requires about a 10" x 6" footprint in your sump. It also works better if you can get the sump level up to about 3.5" from the top in one section so that the outputs are half to mostly submerged. This will reduce noise. Not a big issue if you have baffled your sump. Otherwise use a couple filter socks or a plexi ramp. I also recommend an auto evap system so that the skimmer waterline stays level. (I recommend that for any skimmer)

That said, the bubble reducer does work and I love this skimmer.
