    I actually run the same skimmer on my 46 bow. For the first week/week and a half I thought it was broken too. Just give it a bit of time. Mine would literally pump out 5-7gallons in a few hours. (I have an overflow drain on mine) - It still skims really wet after water changes but then settles down after a few hours. Just give about 1-2 weeks to break in and all will be fine. The bubbles will slow, but if they don't cease, you can always get the pre-skimmer filter box. It cuts down on bubbles and is a great place to put carbon/phosban - if you get the skimmer box though, it does need a low water mod, otherwise it will run the pump dry if the water drops an inch. Easy mod though. Hope this helps!!!

    I'm thinking combo of the two things, new and no load yet. Like Nathaniel said give it two weeks and you'll be pulling all kinds of nasty green gunk outta there!
