Moved my tank, chucked a ton of my live rock except about 20lbs that is actually good stuff. Other was just crappy rocks i was given that were heavy dense non porous rocks.

It is a 75gal tank with about 25gal in sump.

And has about 20lbs of live rock, and 70lbs of new sand.

Also added a bottle of biospira, was only good for 30gal tank size bottle. But figured it wouldnt hurt.

Will i be ok for a while? i have an swc 160 skimmer good for 160 gal. So i should be ok right? Until i can afford new rock?

I would definitely cut back on the feedings for a while and your Mandarin and Scooter may perish unless eating prepared foods.I would also watch for Ammonia and/or Nitrite.:(

I think you're going to have a cycle. The new sand is definitely not going to help and you have very little live rock in there. Keep an eye on parameters daily and have a lot of water prepared.

Corals seem to be doing better today, getting used to their new positions, all fish seem great. Have not tested water at all. But everyone seems happy.

Also put a new pump on my swc 160, so that is still breaking in. The other one wouldn't start up so i pulled it out to clean it(works now) and figured mine as well just put the new one in. So once it breaks in i am hoping it will be a little stronger. I love my swc skimmer tho, pulls so much skimate!

the biospira was a smart move.
you may want to pick up another bacteria in a bottle to keep on hand just in case you test one night and have some ammonia and or nitrite until things settle in

its was only the small bottle, for 30gal tank, so idk what good it did for 100gal. But my buddy ordered 1 bottle and they sent him like 6 so. I have more if i need it! haha Maybe i should just throw another in just to be on the safe side?
