Darlin we all know your frustrations. I'm sorry your having to go through it too. I personally am battling with cyno (red slim) in my fuge. But like peoples have told me...better there then in my DT. Having said this, what I've done to help minimize it is, I've added a very small power head to my lil fuge. It has helped a bunch. No it's not completely gone, but that's ok. My fuge could win the BUTT UGLY CONTEST!! But it's full of pods :)
What kind of macro algae are you using? You could throw a bag of ChemiPure Elite into your fuge to help absorb some of the excess nutrients. Starve the cyno out :) Hang in there and DON'T give up :)

Thanx for the encourgment, I haven't looked into the chemical route of starving it out. Any side effects?

Chemipure elite is a mix of carbon and GFO. So the GFO will help to absorb the phosphates. no side effects that i am aware of. I ran it for a few months and it works great.

Chemipure is extremely absorbent however will release what it absorbed if not changed within a few days. Use Chemipure for the spikes and gfo reactor regularly

I just wanted to mention, it sounds like you could use some turbo's in your DT to gobble up some of that hair algae. Get the snails out of your Fuge as well. Their job is to keep what's being looked at clean, not the other way around.
