Removing GSP... uhhhh

    hey everyone, I have a new 55g im setting up, and i have a really nice skinny long rock btu it has GSP (green star polyps) attached to it - all over it! I don't know how to remove them. Has anyone had any luck removing their GSP from a rock? thanks

    It should be on a mat that you can just peel off. Just take a pair of scissors to the mat if you want to trim it to size

    Why not put the rock in a nice place to display the polyps? They are a beautiful coral.

    the purple mat should peel up really easy once you get it started. I have fragged them before and its not bad. But you could also place the piece and wait the two weeks or so before it starts growing on your other rock then cut the original piece off and let the left over part spread.

    Sounds like a keeper to me, but each their own. You can start cutting/peeling with a razor blade then just peel it kind of like an orange.


    Or you could take the rock and set it outside for a day then scrub it real good if you want to just kill it off.

    I've been considering letting it cover my back wall.... not sure if I want to do this yet or not... but I think it might be neat.
