So I have some new SPS frags I need to mount tonight but my large rock closest to the surface has a couple large red mushrooms taking up prime space. How can I remove these so I can place my frags?

slice the foot from the rock with a razor, then use a little kalk paste to kill whats left of the foot (if not, they could regrow) then put the shrooms in a small bowl in a low flow area of the tank with some rubble rock,so when they heal and reattach, you can put them where you want.

Grinders got about your best bet. Just make sure to leave as little on the rock as possible, any little bit can regrow. Another alternative would be to take the rock out of the tank, and break the mushroom area off with a chisel and hammer. That way they have their own lttle frag you can move around.
