Good luck!!....anything I have removed from my tank has been challenging...to say the least. If there are any secrets, I cannot wait to read them ! : )

i had this same problem once. what you can try is to take your standard fish net and put a frozen cube of brine shrimp or whatever you have and attempt to lure the little sucker in. it takes patience and possibly a six pack but the catch is worth the wait.

My fish would devour the entire brine shrimp cue before the shrimp even came out of hiding. >< I rarely see him out of the rockwork.

No, but he was on that rock near where it was this morning, which is when I found it missing (there was also aiptasia next to it which was gone this morning but not last night). The only other things I have in my tank are 2 damsels and 2 firefish. The mushroom looked completely healthy and happy last night, but is completely gone this morning. :(

I thought mine was eating my inverted brain coral but pieces of food fell into the crevices and he picks them out. he will tear up the coral to get to it though.

I have never heard of peppermints doing this I am very surprised. I have 8 in my 120 and I have never had this problem I can tell you that short of removing all your rock that shrimp is gonna be really hard to get out. I have caught a few fish in my reef with my DIY fish trap that I made out of a small plastic critter cage and a little bit of fishing line but the shrimp is gonna be tough to get , good luck .
