I have a clown , yellow tail blue damsel, peppermint shrimp, 4 narcissus snails, 3 astera snails, 3 margarita snails, green star polyps, and a zoa frag. I assuming it is all fine except for narcissus snails? However just curious if anyone keeps with with a bare bottom.

Here's some info on the Berlin Method. Basically, unless you have no rock and are using a mechanical filtration system, you're using the Berlin method...just no one really calls it that anymore.

Ford, I'm sure the nassarius snails would still eat, but they'd have nowhere to bury themselves, which is their natural inclination. Everything else should be fine. Quite a few people go bare bottom.
