    i have the 18" nova extreme made buy current that comes with an 18 watt antic and an 18 watt 10000K daylight so i was looking at marine depto today and saw there are very few choices for a 18" T5 bulb current makes this one but there 20 watt

    Current USA T5HO SlimPaq Bulb

    and i know that coral life also makes an 18" T5 what other company make 18" T5s and would i be able to use those 20 watts inseted of my 18 watts and what do you think my best choice is in an 18" T5HO

    There isn't many 18" out there... Mostly 24",36",48" and 60"... Coralife and other "cheaper" brands have smaller lamps...
    You would need to check the ballast to see if the 20watt would work.

    i would have to open it up to see the ballast right when i do open it up what do i look for on the ballast

    I saw there is 18" LED light just 50W.
